Dear Parents and Carers,
As we near the end of the academic year and head towards the summer holidays, I’d like to wish all our leaver’s a fondest goodbye. I’m sure they will be missed at pre-school but an exciting new adventure awaits.
A quick note to say, I am now in the last trimester of pregnancy, so I will be following the government guidelines and working from home this term.
Jeannette and Ann are both in managerial roles and are there to support the children, parents and staff at pre-school. As always I am on the end of the phone or email to offer help and support in any way I can. I will be popping in for garden visits over the next few weeks.
For anyone who hasn’t had a parent consultation this year, we are hoping to hold these by phone with your child’s key worker in June.
With some restrictions still in place and a growing number of COVID cases especially the Indian variant, we will be taking extra precautions at pre-school so some end of term events will be slightly different this year. We will endeavour to ensure the children have the maximum amount of fun and enjoyment.
Sport’s activity week, W/C 14th June, will see a garden sport’s session hosted by Pro-Stars on 15th June and we will be inviting the children to participate in a sponsored trike ride too.
On the last day of term July 15th, we will host our school leaver’s gathering followed by a picnic in the garden. More details to follow shortly.
This term we welcome Lucy, Nancy and Darcy to the pre-school.
Stay safe and well and enjoy the sunshine!
Georgina and the staff team

The better weather is here! Please apply sun cream to your children before arrival at pre-school and provide a named sun hat.
We have an amazing garden which we use daily. Your children will be climbing and running, please ensure their footwear covers their toes and is well fitted.
Please remember to clearly label all coats, bags, hats and water bottles.
Our pre-school is a nut free zone, lunch boxes should be a healthy balance meal with packaging the children can open themselves
We will continue to use 2 queues, A and B, at entrance and exit points. Please can I remind you to wear a face covering unless exempt and keep your distance from other families.
Hand gel and anti bac spray will be provided for use before entering the hall. The children’s temperatures will continue to be taken and enhanced room cleaning is still in place.
COVID secure measures mean that we need to keep the hall well ventilated with the windows and doors open at all times so the room will be cooler than usual.
If a member of your household is isolating, it is pre-school policy for children to remain at home for the required time as well. May I also ask that you keep me informed of any tests within your bubble.
There are still restrictions on activities that we can have in the pre-school but we are hoping to bring back some old favourites after they have been risk assessed
Thank you for helping us to keep the children and staff as safe as possible.
