‘Goodbye’ to St. Paul’s Pre-school
It feels very strange writing a farewell piece for the pre-school website, especially as the last few months have been so strange, and I was unable to say goodbye to many children and their families in person.
I am now looking forward to my retirement, and to having the time to do the many things I have been promising myself but haven’t managed to fit in when working, but I am going to miss the pre-school very much. I have absolutely loved working with young children, who always bring a smile to my face as they come in to pre-school in the morning chattering away and getting excited about the simple things in life, that as adults it is very easy to take for granted.
I have been very lucky to have had such an enjoyable job for the last 25 years, working with lovely children and their families, and an amazing team of staff who have worked so hard to build and develop the pre-school, and who have been so supportive to me for such a long time.
I know the whole staff team will soon be working hard to plan for September, and are looking forward to welcoming the children back into what will hopefully be a more recognisable routine.
Finally, I would like to wish Georgina well for her future at the pre-school, and I hope she enjoys her time working with the lovely children and families as much as I have.
Best wishes to you all
