We have a team of seven permanent members of staff and one volunteer. All staff are experienced, enthusiastic and committed. Five are qualified to level three standard, of which four have been working for St Paul’s Preschool for between 10 and 20 years. Two members of staff have close links with the church and uniformed organisations locally.
The number of staff in the setting each day depends on the number and ages of children present. We comply with the staff:child ratios as detailed in the EYFS 2021. Activities may be run as a whole group, small groups or occasionally one-to-one.
Paediatric first-aid trained staff work every day and the member of staff preparing and serving snack have a food hygiene qualification. All staff attend training courses on a regular basis and keep up to date with practice in early years education.
